Bio

Alexis joined Herum Crabtree as an associate in 2008. Her practice areas include public agency law, water law, civil litigation and employment law. Alexis assists Herum Crabtree’s special district and public agency clients with compliance issues related to Proposition 218, public contracting, conflict of interest laws, and various state and federal employment laws. Through her experience she has gained a thorough knowledge of the Water Code, the Public Contracting Code, the California Public Records Act, and the Ralph M. Brown Act. Alexis also assists clients with litigation of environmental and municipal matters.
 
Before returning to northern California to attend law school, Alexis worked in Los Angeles in the entertainment industry and as an assignment editor at Channel One News. While in law school, she was placed on the Dean’s List and received the CALI Excellence for the Future Awards in Legal Writing, Constitutional Law and Administrative Law. Alexis also served as a Comments Editor for the Santa Clara Law Review.
 
In 2006, Alexis interned abroad with Robertsons Solicitors in Hong Kong. She also gained practical legal experience while working as a judicial extern in the Alameda Superior Court in 2008 and interning with a prominent Fresno civil litigation firm in 2007.
