Bio

Richie Aranda joined Herum Crabtree as an associate attorney in 2008 after spending several years in the Bay Area developing the skills necessary to become an effective lawyer. Mr. Aranda practices in the areas of civil litigation, land use and environmental law.

Mr. Aranda grew up in Pittsburg, California and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Stanford University. Mr. Aranda received his Juris Doctor cum laude, from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law in 2008. While at Hastings, he received the CALI Excellence for the Future Award and the Witkin Award for Academic Excellence in Administrative Law. Mr. Aranda also received recognition for his Moot Court persuasive writing. Before entering law school, Mr. Aranda worked as a legal assistant for a distinguished Palo Alto law firm.

Mr. Aranda also gained practical litigation experience through volunteer work with the Stanford Community Law Clinic in East Palo Alto where he assisted modest means clients with housing and employment issues. Mr. Aranda also interned with the San Francisco District Attorney’s Office, where he assisted in various aspects of the litigation process. In his final year of law school, Mr. Aranda served as a full-time judicial extern for the Honorable Edward M. Chen, Magistrate Judge of the United States District Court, Northern District of California in San Francisco.

Mr. Aranda is a member of the State Bar of California and lives in Stockton with his wife. They enjoy skiing, basketball, and attending Stanford sporting events.
